To the Man

Absorbing debate currently raging on the Prussian Blue forums between "admin," who I assume is the site administrator, and a 16-year-old Jewish boy called Daniel. Admin makes the argument that since no traces of cyanide, in the form of Prussian blue, were found in the Auschwitz gas chambers, they were not used as gas chambers. Daniel responds by pointing out that the study on which these arguments are based was conducted by a fraudulent researcher, Fred Leuchter, who lied about his credentials and his experience, and in any case has been debunked by qualified scientists. Daniel also critiques admin’s claim that World War I was started by Jews. Admin's response is to completely ignore the comments on Leuchter, fudge the issue of who started World War I, and instead fall back on that method of argumentation so beloved by Holocaust deniers: antisemitic smear:

"It's just like a Jew to try and focus attention away from what we said or meant, and away from what he knows full well is true. Regardless of how WWI started, why don't you concentrate on how WWI ended. Once you get to the heart of that see if you can keep your precious Jewish arse out of the fire."

And then later: "You can have your ass back now Jewboy."

Lovely. Ad hominem attacks are of course a standard debating technique of Holocaust deniers, though I didn't realize they were as happy to use it against children as adults.
